Revolutionizing orthopedic surgery, our controlled expansion bone anchors are desiged to enhance fixation and promote bone integration, ultimately improving patient outcomes. The initial product is a swelling co-polymeric suture anchor designed to address critical deficiencies in current fixation techniques, including poor fixation strength in low-density bones, stress shielding, and lack of osteo integration.
Existing bone fixation devices, made from metals or non-expanding polymers, face issues such as poor performance in low-density bone, stress shielding, and a lack of bone integration.
The swelling co-polymeric material addresses these issues by providing a self-fixation mechanism that increases pull-out strength, reduces bone resorption, and promotes osteo integration, ultimately reducing surgical failure rates and the need for costly revision surgeries.
